Several international schools in Phuket have confirmed campus expansions and new facilities scheduled to come online in or around 2026. The developments reflect rising enrolment demand from expatriate families and long-stay residents relocating to the island.

International education has become a key component of Phuket’s residential ecosystem. School availability and capacity increasingly influence where families choose to settle, rent long-term housing, or purchase homes.

HeadStart International School has confirmed further development across both its Phuket campuses.

At the Chaofah City Campus, a new multi-sports pitch is scheduled for completion in January 2026, along with expanded dining and kitchen facilities to serve increased student numbers. Additional secondary classrooms have also recently opened.

Glenalmond College announces new Phuket school

Glenalmond College, a Scottish private school, has announced the opening of a sister school in Phuket, located within the Thanyapura Sports and Health Resort.

The new school is scheduled to open in 2026, initially offering the English National Curriculum for nursery and primary-level students, with plans to introduce secondary education in later phases.

Education growth supports residential demand

The expansion of international school capacity reinforces Phuket’s evolution as a long-term residential destination. School catchment areas remain a key consideration for relocating families, supporting sustained demand for family-sized rental homes and long-term housing in surrounding neighbourhoods.

Further construction progress and enrolment updates are expected to be released by individual schools over the coming months.
